Terms of Use
Last updated: October 21, 2026
These terms apply to the MyBikes app for iPhone and iPad (“MyBikes”, “the app”), made by Patrick Tremblay (“we”, “us”). By using the app you agree to them. Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; if the two differ, these terms apply where the law allows.
1. What MyBikes does
MyBikes helps you track your bikes, the wear of their components, maintenance and reminders, optionally using rides from Strava. Wear estimates and reminders are guides only. They do not replace inspecting your bike or advice from a qualified mechanic. Always check your bike is safe before riding.
2. Your account
You are responsible for the data you enter and for keeping access to your Apple or Google sign-in. If you use the app without signing in, your data is tied to an anonymous account and may be lost if you delete the app or change devices. You must be at least 13 years old to use MyBikes.
3. Plans and purchases
- Free plan: the app's features for one bike.
- PRO yearly subscription: all features for all your bikes, billed once a year.
- Lifetime PRO: a one-time purchase that unlocks PRO for as long as the app is offered.
Prices are shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. The yearly subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. If a free trial is offered, any unused part of it ends when you buy a subscription.
Purchases are handled by Apple. Refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, under Apple's rules.
4. Strava
Connecting Strava is optional. Your use of Strava is governed by Strava's own terms. MyBikes is not made by or endorsed by Strava. You can disconnect Strava at any time; see the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.
5. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the app: don't try to access other people's data, disrupt the service, reverse engineer it beyond what the law allows, or use it for anything illegal.
6. Your content
Your data and photos stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them only to run the app for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Changes and availability
We may update the app, add or remove features, or change these terms. If we make important changes to the terms, we will let you know in the app. We try to keep the service running, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The app is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for damage or injury resulting from relying on wear estimates or reminders, or for loss of data. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law where you live.
9. Ending
You can stop using MyBikes and delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete my account. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without taking away any mandatory protection given by the law of the country where you live.
